If you’ve been reading our posts, you’ll know that the renowned South American code school World Tech Makers has arrived in Barcelona, and their first intensive 10-week course is starting this month. Students will learn how to design a web page and mobile applications using tools like Java, React JS and Node JS, among others. The classes will be conducted in Spanish, but you can still apply if you’re an English speaker! The groups are very small and the professors will make sure to customize the classes for everyone’s personal needs as much as possible.

Sports fans and tech geeks, rejoice! Everyone’s favorite football team is hosting a tech event this month. Prestigious brands, clubs, businesses and professionals will take part in the forum at Camp Nou which is now a leading event in Europe. The event is a part of the Barça Innovation Hub project, which is the Club’s vehicle for generating, acquiring and sharing innovative ideas in the area of sports knowledge.

Our very own smart city, Barcelona is hosting the leading global event that will focus on empowering cities as the breeding ground for social innovation. Global change starts on a local level, and this event is one of the most important platforms for driving that transformation. The aim of Ouishare Fest is to unite startups, innovators, investors, companies and public administrators to talk about the problems that our society faces and find the possible solutions. There will discussions about the innovation of education, the future of work and leading a more conscious life. They’re also looking for the most promising new startups in the sharing economy space.
