According to their manifesto, Full Stack Fest was created by developers trying to navigate the changing waters of software paradigms and look into the future while keeping their ship afloat. It’s a conference where you will learn about new tools, technologies and frameworks that are helping developers manage the complexities of the Internet’s current demands. A single-track event in the spacious Auditori AXA, with speakers from all fronts of software development, it’s sure to be an intense week of learning and Bringing Back the Web. The third Mediterranean Blockchain Cruise will make a trip from Barcelona to Monte Carlo, Ibiza and back, with hundreds of blockchain enthusiasts on board. For the first time ever in Barcelona, World Ethical Data Forum will gather international experts and enthusiasts from diverse fields to talk about the ethics and development of decentralized technologies. Topics will range from mass data and data-analytic technologies to the question of security agencies’ and governments’ access to data; data rights; the commercial use of data by marketing, media organizations and big businesses; recent innovations in artificial intelligence; the development of cryptocurrency and ICO regulation; and the benefits and pitfalls of blockchain technology and its future applications. At this meetup, the Barcelona team of German company Haufe will be sharing their thoughts, experiences and insights on implementing UX testing methodologies in large organisations. They will combine the perspectives of organisations that have a lot of experience in implementing these methodologies with that of companies that have recently started doing it, such as Haufe. This summer, Fintech Stage has started a brand new monthly event series called Spanish Fintech Wars to help tie together the fintech communities in Barcelona and Madrid. Following the success of the first event, the second meetup, “The Return of the Jedi”, will focus on the topics of Data, Identity and Privacy. Speakers are TBA but you can definitely count on a speech by Biid CEO Antonio Virzi. If you’re a fintech startup interested in pitching at the competition, be sure to sign up.
