Adaptive, a British tech company specialized in software development for banking and fintech, has opened an office in Barcelona with the goal of providing services to all of Europe, creating 16 new jobs.
However, this is just a first step for Adaptive, as they plan to increase the number of their employees, most of them software developers, to 30 by the end of this year.
According to their website, they are currently looking for QA Specialists, QA Engineers and Java Developers to work in Barcelona.
Adaptive’s project was brought to life with the support of the Government of Catalonia, through Catalonia Trade & Investment, ACCIÓ‘s foreign investment branch.
“We decided to open offices in Barcelona in order to be closer to our European clients,”
says Pierre Prevot, who is in charge of Adaptive’s Barcelona operation.
“Barcelona has a lot of added value, because it has a favorable microclimate for technological innovation. Catalonia is a very multicultural and international region that will allow us to take advantage of talent from all over the world,”
Adaptive has also recently opened an office in Montreal, Canada.
